Sleeping is a luxury that only those poor of ideas can afford.

For over 5 months now, I’ve had trouble sleeping. Insomnia is frustrating and tiring. Tiring not because you don’t sleep, but because your head, your brain is constantly thinking of the many things you can do. A story idea you want to pursue. Photowalks you want to hold. Ads you want to write. And posts that you want to blog. Such as this one.

It’s unnerving how clear and lucid your thoughts are in the middle of the night and no one, save the odd mosquito, disturbs your ideas.

I used to be nocturnal a while ago. But not these days. I spend about 12 hours in front of the PC and when I’m done for the day, my eyes plead for some rest. But yes, the clarity of thoughts is amazing. :)

Krishnan: Yes. Something about the light, I think, that causes the thoughts of a night to be clearer in the day.

Karthik: Not over. Under. Very much underslept I am.

    Tushar: You think?

Rushing thoughts are usually unique to the middle of the night and early mornings…

Usually my middle of the nights are early mornings… Love those rushing thoughts.

scare yourself to sleep… HTF are you going to think creatively at work the next day? eyes would burn, you’d be a zombie, the nose would be blocked…

    stop the coffee….

  8. Ram Says:

its the same syndrome here too. but by the morning/mid noon they’d seem irrational… and in my work there’s no scope for a camera to make those ideas more rational…

I bet you posted this early in the morning.

Later in the day, you hardly think about such issues. :P

Susheel: No such preferences – if it’s dark out, it’s light in – ideas.

Ram: It’s not the coffee. That I know.

    Hari: Hmmm
