Poor, little, little-understood font

Comic Sans

  • It’s not that ugly a font, ok! It’s only the most used font. And that is not a problem with its design. I’d wager it’s the opposite, actually

  • I agree, though, that it is not the most graceful one around. But that’s no reason to ban a font.

  • I find it ironic that the site that exists solely to take the font out of circulation use it in its design, and in its merchandise.

  • Which, to my screwed up, conspiracy-theory loving brain suggests that the site is a guerrilla advertising/marketing tactic by the makers of the font – Microsoft. Much like this one for MSN8

  • Just as an afterthought – the story of Comic Sans, from the MS Typography website. (Warning: In orange, and in Comic Sans. I might just about take back the first two points!)

  • P.S. Goundamani and Senthil will have to wait a day more. Comedy, as the cliche goes, is no easy joke.

I would love to see it banned.
I am really uncomfortable when I see it. Anywhere.
