Dear Mr. K.R. Aadishtan
I call upon our years of friendship and cartellian-ness to kindly request you to update your blogroll. You see, you have listed me under the title “Infamous Cartel Members”. But, you were one of the first persons to know that the Cartel had split, and I joined my mentor Ravikiran’s party – the ISKCONTD. I’d be much obliged if you can change your blogroll to reflect this.
Thank you,
Chandrachoodan
Maavattam, ISKCONTD
What’s happening to BSNL?
Their ads suddenly seem way, way better than they’ve ever been.
1) Preity Zinta
2) Much better production values
3) Not a word about ‘connecting’ ‘India’ ‘people’ ‘relationships’
4) No newborn babies and no dads 1000 miles apart.
I am awed. There is a future for advertising, after all.

Set Max vs. Neo Sports
Is it just me, or do you all think, especially after the nasal Neo Sports, and the atrocious DD, Set Max’s coverage of the world cup is actually decent? The commentators, especially.

To the good folks at INI Signal
Firstly, neat name for a blog.
Secondly. You, rather, one of you writes this post, that, even to me, sounds like a rant unsure of itself. I mean, legislation for how coalition parties behave? Come on!
Thirdly, when I comment, I do so because I think what I have to say is either relevant or funny, or both. And, I do this despite having realised that blog-debates are at best futile, and the time spent doing that is time not spent trying to get women to dig me. And therefore, when I have analysed all of these, and choose to leave a comment, I’d hate to see it being classified spam. Especially when two of my comments are already published on the post in question. Even-more-especially-when, the comment that was sacrificed was rather tame, and partly funny and wholly self-effacing.
Batting for friends
Check out the following:
1) Shoestring, the band – A blog on advertising, songs, music and stuff. Run by my boss.
Manoj’s giving away free MP3s from his album ‘Thirty Something’. But there’s a time limit on that…so. Not just because he’s my boss, I do think the songs are good. I especially like the one titled “Love at first swipe”
2) Footnotes, by Indra Sinha (to advertising-y folks: Yes, the Same Sinha, wunly) – One of the most popular copywriters, Indra Sinha runs a blog, writes books (his latest book Animal’s People is out) and runs the Bhopal Medical Appeal. He asks that you all take a look at this – Masks. Please do
3) Would anybody happen to know where in Madras one can find B&W films, developers, the whole caboodle? A friend and I are working on setting up an exclusive B&W photography thingummy, and all help provided will be much appreciated by the both of us.
