A fervent appeal

Dear denizens of the ‘sphere. We all know, only too well, that a collective, united, public voice can move the immovable. The above mentioned c,u,p voice can strike terror in the hearts of the terrorist, and cause greater common good to come about.
If you still aren’t following me, I am talking of the strongly worded Online Petition. We’ve seen in the past that an online petition, signed by natured fellow bloggers has achieved Zilch. Yet, the creator of the petition gets to feel important for a while, and those who sign believe they have stood up for the weaker sections.

This exact feeling is what I want to exploit, today. I am going to set up an online petition to bring back something we, in the sphere, miss sorely. I am going to set up this petition to make available once more the best thing the sphere had, but took for granted. And I fervently appeal to you all to sign the petition.

‘What, you ask, ‘is the objective of the petition?’. ‘To bring Ravikiran Rao back online’, is my proud, clear answer.
That’s true. The saviour of logic, the master of the libertarian, the god of the atheists, the core of the cartel, has been keeping low for ages. His last post was in June. That’s a good 5 months ago. The silence on his blog since then has been exploited, rather inefficiently I might add, by some typists and by some bloody hearts to preach. (not to the masses, but to the converted)

These people have let their illogic and their emotions cloud their judgement, and their argument. Leading to debates which have no point whatsoever in them (But then, no debate ever did, so)

Which is why, I beg Ravikiran, who did this, and this and this and much, much more to resume his blogging.

Since this petition of mine will be for the greater good of the desi blogosphere, and perhaps even shape our identity in the global arena, and asks for a diversity in the voices that we hear, I request Desipundit, Blog Bharti to link to this just cause and give me more hits and widespread publicity. I also request that Amit Varma, who is a cartellian, and hence has vested interest in Ravikiran’s comeback, link to this post too.
Thank you.

If only

Somebody famous once said, “The cruelest words in English are, ‘If only’”.
Shivam today invites people to nuke his blog. If only.

Is it a bird? Is it a plane? Oh no!

It’s BlogBharti. And it’s got Shivam and Krish in it? Oh wow! Shivam, Krish, my dear friends. In return for the link to your new site, will you please give me a seat as close to the centre as possible? I want to watch the drama unfold. I don’t want to miss anything. Oh, please?
