| A bamboo tree. I have seen bamboos growing tall, but this one was pretty huge, and looked creepy. This is on a bend of the road, but you can see the tops from a bit away. I was spooked for a while till I turned and saw that the tentacles were only part of a bamboo tree | Trying out Macro photography. | A huge corridor/hallway in Chidambaram, called the Natya Sabha or something. 1000 pillars hold it up and make for a great study in symmetry and art | Another shot of the Maha Sabha. These pillars are very intriguing for me. Most of them show telltale signs of Vijayanagara architecture, but every so often, is a Chola pillar. And randomly. One section has 1 chola pillars for every 3 vijayanagara. Another section has 1 for every 2 vijayanagara. Either I’m missing something, or there must have been some massive repair work by the Vijayanagara kings |
