Quick Tale #4
It began innocuously enough. They both met at a party. Hit of very well. And liked what they saw in each other. Then came the nightly rendezvous. The long trips out of town. But the talks began; first it was “good friends, complement each other” but soon it became hushed. Whispered in the hallways “there they go, the two of them…do you believe it, the husband got a letter…” Allegations, innuendoes. A raging debate in their little town. The family had to move away, away from all the talk, all the pointing of fingers, all the doubt. But it followed them. Wherever they went. Finally it was decided they come out in the open.
That was the day she became the first woman president of the USA.
Of independence, libertarianism and chips
You are never truly independent till you
- wash your own underwear
- scrub your own toilet
- and make the coffee you want to drink
Meanwhile, Gopi asks 2 question that I think needs a bit of answering. First is this post – Granted that one can’t wish away a government or a form of governance overnight, what is the smallest unit that the government should be concerned with? My answer is let the individual fend for himself/herself. Let the individual, if he/she is the marrying and settling down kind, provide for his family, or not. That is between the individual and the spouse/family.
If the individual wants to pull the plug on himself, he/she is free to do it. Let them manage their affairs, and let’s keep the government out of this please!
The second question Gopi asks here needs a little more thought. If you know the answer, head over to Gopi’s place and help him out.
being corny
Life’s not a bed of roses.
Always take things with a pinch of salt.
Remember that, and Behold! Your glass will always be full.
(Can I get sillier?)
