Battling comment spam

I tried hard. Real hard. I tried moderating comments. I tried to close comments after an X number of days but ended up screwing my MT installation and had to restore the original. I have zero knowledge of PHP and Perl and stuff, and haven’t been able to install any of the third party utilities to prevent comment spam. In all this, I overlooked one little tool that comes with MT 3. Typekey.

Beginning today, Selective Amnesia will require all of you to register with TypeKey to comment. It’s a simple process, quicker than signing up for an Hotmail account. Just choose a Username and a password to register, and whenever you folks need to comment here (hopefully, a lot), sign in using typekey and comment away.

This might be a bore, and you folks would have to remember one more username and password, but please do hang in there. This only till I figure out how to Install MTBlacklist.
