Where the journey is better than the destination
Two red-indian chiefs, long time friends and fishing partners, fell out over an argument on land sharing and other such stuff that bug Red Indian chiefs.
They soon stopped talking to each other, and even their annual fishing ritual stopped.
Many moons pass and it was time for the fishing season, but now that they were no more on speaking terms, they each went separately.
Big chief Holy Feathers was the first to reach the sea and started laying out his tackle and line. Small Chief Pink Nose followed with his own equipment and started fishing.
Before long, Holy Feathers hooked something and started to reel the line in. It turns out to be a glorious mermaid.
Golden hair, and all that.
Pink Nose looks on jealously as Holy Feathers fondles and plays with the mermaid.
After an hour of just necking around, Chief HF throws the mermaid back
to the sea. The mermaid swims out to a rock, waves goodbye to HF, and disappears forever.
Unable to contain his curiosity, Chief PN asks, “Why?”
Chief HF replies “How?”
