    Well, here is my try—1. The electrical device used to ignite the gases as in Spark-plug
    2. The electrical device with two or three pins that is inserted in a socket
    3. (verb) Close tightly with…. as in with a plug
    4. Small amount of something.. such as tobacco
    5. I cant think of anything else but the slang when a plug means… well you know what it means ;)

    Plug is also American slang for a punch/shot.

    Plug – ummm, an electrical device used mostly with a socket
    a stopper (as in, I’d plugged cotton in my ears)

    i don’t think it’s used to ignite anything. that comes from the “spark” in spark plug doesn’t it?
