Lesson of the day

What does this word mean?

Prodigal

Wait, before you rush off, no, and by that I mean absolutely no looking into the dictionary, no googling for it, and no Merriam Webster references.

    Hold it.
    I know what it means.
    I read it for GRE.
I am pretty sure its somewhere on the back of my mind.
Back of my cerebrum that is.
Or is it in the cerebellem.
Nested deep within the convoluted folds of the grey matter in my brain, the nerve center of my body.

  2. Ravages Says:

So then, what do it mean?

  3. Krithika Says:

I believe it’s related to the word prodigy i.e. the adjective form of prodigy or something…

  4. Krithika Says:

Umm, no, as in prodigal son, it means reckless, I suppose…

  5. Ravages Says:

Krithika: Prodigal, in a way, means reckless. Means extravagant. Congrats. You
    got it right. :)

But tell me, did you check out dictionaries or stuff?
If so, I would be forced to take back my congrats :)
