Wodehouse and women

Divya has an interesting post about Gender Equality and the Women of PG Wodehouse stories.

I don’t know particulary what lead her to think of that line, but this is something I have been thinking about ever since I read “Aunts aren’t Gentlemen”

A critique of Maslow’s theory of Hierarchical needs, or why I’d rather read PG Wodehouse.

To those unfamiliar with good Mr. Maslow, and his theory of heirarchical needs, here is a primer. Death-a play

Had the chance to go to a play yesterday.
The play was called Death by Evam, an adaptation of the movie Death by Woody Allen.

A comical yet profound, funny, yet thought provoking play. (And yeah, I did repeat the same sentiment, just changed the words. No. Not for any apparent reason, just to give you a glimpse of my awe-inspiring knowledge of English)

Libertarianism, Dogma, The Cartel and other such stuff #1

I began this post originally as a comment at AnarCapLib

I have been thinking about this for about a few weeks now. My “knocking on doors” attempts to get into the cartel, and my own political and other beliefs.

Let me begin with saying I am a libertarian. And am damn proud of it.
I didnt know there was such a thing as Libertarianism at all. I thought of it as a stupid belief of a demented guy (me).

Statutory Warning

When in Madras, when riding a bike, and it is raining, don’t, I repeat, don’t ever get stuck behind a TVS moped or a scooty.
Especially, when you are wearing a yellow T Shirt.

Not when you want to get to office without any stains.

The Bleachers – John Grisham

A beautifully written, simple book of a high school footbal star’s return to his hometown, and his realisation that he isn’t all that great.
